Our Mission:

Tony Bennett is an accomplished entrepreneur and constructor with a sharp eye for valuable resources not fully used. His current work involves quality replacement housing for the large number of people who lost their homes in California wildfires. Sunspot forced its way into his agenda because, as he says, “knowing where our sunlight comes from, and the compelling story of light as both particle and wave, is an underknown resource that needs more public understanding. We need to help with that.”

Michael Potts is a lifelong teacher with generations of scientists and engineers in his family. A Harvard educated jack-of-all-trades –  builder, writer, baker, webster, goldsmith, chef . . .  – he cheerfully accepted longtime friend and collaborator Tony's challenge to gather the science to expand the meaning of the Sunspot sculptures they  propose to erect as portals to improved understanding of human reliance on the energy freely rained down on us by our neighborhood star.
